SIGMA: Jurnal Pendidikan Matematika is an academic journal published by the Mathematics Education Study Program, Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar. This journal focuses on the advancement of knowledge and innovation in mathematics education across various educational levels in Indonesia. It serves as a platform for the dissemination of research findings and scholarly studies that support the improvement of teaching practices, learning processes, curriculum development, integration of educational technology, and the professional development of mathematics teachers. The journal encourages interdisciplinary approaches that contribute to a deeper understanding of mathematics education.
Scope
This journal accepts high-quality manuscripts employing various research methodologies, including quantitative research, qualitative research, mixed methods, research and development (R&D), classroom action research (CAR), and systematic literature reviews. The topics covered by the journal include, but are not limited to: Innovative strategies and models in mathematics teaching and learning; Development and evaluation of mathematics curricula and instructional materials; Utilization of digital tools and technology in mathematics education; Mathematical thinking, reasoning, communication, and problem-solving skills; Professional development and teacher education in mathematics; Assessment and evaluation in mathematics learning; Classroom-based research and teaching experiments; Integration of local culture and ethnomathematics into mathematics instruction; and Theoretical and conceptual studies that support mathematics education research.
