Abstract

Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa SMP pada materi relasi dan fungsi ditinjau dari Adversity Quotient (AQ), serta memahami faktor ketangguhan siswa dalam menghadapi permasalahan matematika.

Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan sampel jenuh sebanyak 34 siswa kelas VIII SMP IP ICBS. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis yang mencakup analisis, evaluasi, dan penyelesaian masalah, serta didukung oleh angket AQ, observasi, dan wawancara. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan statistik deskriptif berupa distribusi frekuensi dan rata-rata untuk menggambarkan tingkat kemampuan siswa.

Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 20 siswa berada pada kategori camper, 10 siswa kategori climber, dan 4 siswa kategori quitter. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa ditinjau dari AQ tergolong cukup baik, meskipun masih didominasi oleh kategori camper.

Simpulan: Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi dalam memahami hubungan antara AQ dan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis, sehingga dapat menjadi dasar bagi pendidik dalam merancang strategi pembelajaran yang lebih efektif untuk meningkatkan ketangguhan dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika.
