TRANSFORMASI FORMALISME DARI PERMAINAN SIMBOL KE LITERASI MATEMATIKA SOSIOKULTURAL: A SYSTEMATIC LITERATURE REVIEW

Tujuan Penelitian: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mensintesis temuan-temuan ilmiah mengenai bagaimana transformasi formalisme permainan simbol matematika dapat mendukung pengembangan literasi matematika sosiokultural.
Metode Penelitian: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Systematic Literature Review dengan mengikuti pedoman PRISMA Statement. Pencarian literatur dilakukan pada basis data Scopus dan Web of Science terhadap artikel berbahasa Inggris yang dipublikasikan pada periode 2018–2025. Dari 178 artikel yang teridentifikasi, sebanyak 18 artikel memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan dianalisis menggunakan analisis tematik melalui proses open coding, kategorisasi, dan sintesis tema. Artikel yang dianalisis mencakup penelitian kualitatif, eksperimen pendidikan, dan studi mixed-method dalam konteks pembelajaran matematika.
Hasil Penelitian: Hasil kajian menunjukkan tiga temuan utama. Pertama, permainan simbol matematika dalam sebagian besar studi masih merepresentasikan formalisme prosedural yang berorientasi pada manipulasi simbol. Kedua, transformasi makna simbol menuju literasi sosiokultural difasilitasi melalui strategi cultural probing, semiotic layering, dan collaborative scaffolding. Ketiga, beberapa studi melaporkan evidensi peningkatan kemampuan rekonseptualisasi masalah kontekstual, komunikasi matematis multirepresentasi, serta keterkaitan konsep matematika dengan praktik sosial-budaya siswa.
Kontribusi: Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa literasi matematika sosiokultural memerlukan desain permainan simbol yang secara eksplisit memediasi transformasi simbol dari bentuk formal menuju makna kontekstual. Keterbatasan studi ini terletak pada jumlah artikel yang relatif terbatas serta fokus pada publikasi berbahasa Inggris dalam dua basis data utama.
