Abstract

Koneksi matematis merupakan bagian penting dalam proses pembelajaran matematika sebagai jalan untuk mengaitkan konsep, fakta, dan prosedur dalam matematika sehingga peserta didik mampu melihat dan memahami matematika sebagai konsep besar yang utuh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana konsep-konsep matematika dan konteks dunia nyata berkoneksi saat proses perumusan masalah (problem posing). Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan instrument penelitian berupa tes penetapan subjek, tes koneksi matematis (TKM) berbasis problem posing, dan pedoman wawancara. Tes penetapan subjek berbasis problem posing digunakan untuk memperoleh subjek tunggal yang berhasil merumuskan masalah matematis kompleks dan memiliki komunikasi yang baik. Data penelitian diperoleh dari TKM berbasis aktivitas problem posing dengan pemberian situasi semi terstruktur. Koneksi matematis yang terbentuk pada proses problem posing terjadi melalui transisi antara konteks dunia nyata dan konsep matematis dan antar konsep matematis yaitu: (i) transisi dari konteks dunia nyata ke konsep matematis; (ii) koneksi antar konsep matematis; dan (iii) transisi dari konsep matematis ke konteks dunia nyata. Temuan penelitian ini memberikan wawasan empiris tentang bagaimana aktivitas problem posing dapat berfungsi sebagai jembatan kognitif untuk mengembangkan koneksi matematis yang bermakna dan menumbuhkan pemahaman konseptual yang lebih mendalam dalam pembelajaran geometri.
