Jurnal Hukum Ekonomi Syariah (2302-8939 (P); 2527-4015 (E)) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal that publishes high-quality scholarly works is a scientific journal managed and published by the Faculty of Islamic Studies, Muhammadiyah University of Makassar. This journal focuses on publishing scientific papers resulting from research, conceptual studies, case studies, and literature reviews related to Islamic law, sharia economics, and relevant contemporary issues.
JHES serves as an academic platform to bring together academics, researchers, legal practitioners, economists, and enthusiasts of Islamic studies in developing scientific discourse in the fields of: Islamic economic law and comparative law; Islamic banking, finance, and capital markets; Zakat, infak, sedekah, and wakaf; Contemporary fiqh muamalah; Fatwas and regulations on Islamic economics; Digitalization and innovation in Islamic finance; and Global economic law issues from a sharia perspective
This journal employs a double-blind peer-review process to ensure the academic quality and scientific integrity of each article. Publication is conducted twice a year (June and December) in print and online formats, with print ISSN: 2549-4872 and online ISSN: 2654-4970. JHES is committed to an open access policy, enabling all articles to be accessed, read, and downloaded free of charge by readers worldwide. Authors are free to retain the copyright of their work, while the journal grants a distribution license under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY SA). Articles published in JHES are written in Indonesian or English and are expected to make a significant contribution to the development of theory and practice in Islamic economic law, both at the national and international levels.
