Author Guidelines

Authors who wish to publish in Jurnal Ilmu Manajemen Profitability must adhere to the following formatting and bibliographic standards. Manuscripts that do not conform to these guidelines will be returned for revision before being considered for peer review.


1. Manuscript Structure and Formatting

  • Title
    Written in English, maximum 12 words, Times New Roman, 16 pt bold, centered.

  • Author(s) Information
    Written in Times New Roman, 8 pt bold, without abbreviations. Each author must include:

    • Full Name (not abbreviated)

    • Affiliation: Name of Faculty and University (Times New Roman, 8 pt)

    • Email address (Times New Roman, 8 pt)


2. Abstract and Keywords

  • The abstract must be written in English, no more than 250 words, italicized, Cambria font, 10 pt, single-spaced.

  • It should include: background/problem, objective, method, results, and conclusion (1 paragraph only).

  • Keywords: Maximum of 5 keywords, separated by commas, Cambria 10 pt, italic.


3. Main Text Format

  • Font: Cambria, 11 pt, normal (except section titles).

  • Spacing: 1.15 line spacing, justified text alignment.

  • Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides.

  • Page Limit: Between 4,000–7,000 words, including references, tables, and figures.

  • File Format: Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) only.


4. Section Headings

All section titles must follow this format:

  • INTRODUCTION – Times New Roman, 11 pt, bold

  • LITERATURE REVIEW

  • RESEARCH METHODS

  • RESULTS AND DISCUSSION

  • CLOSING

    • Conclusion – Cambria, 11 pt, bold

    • Suggestion – Cambria, 11 pt, bold

  • BIBLIOGRAPHY


5. Citation and Reference Style

  • All citations and references must follow APA (American Psychological Association) 7th Edition.

  • Use a reference manager (e.g., Mendeley, Zotero, EndNote) to ensure consistency.

6. Supplementary Files (Optional)

Authors are encouraged to include supplementary materials to enhance their submission, such as:

  • Datasets

  • Research instruments (questionnaires, interview guides)

  • Figures or tables not included in the main manuscript

  • Ethical clearance documents

  • Author contribution statements

These files should be clearly labeled and referenced appropriately in the manuscript.


7. Submission Process

  • All manuscripts must be submitted via the online submission system.

  • Every submission will go through double-blind peer review by at least two independent reviewers.

  • The review process typically takes 4–8 weeks.


8. Ethics and Integrity

Authors must ensure:

  • The manuscript is original, free from plagiarism, and has not been published elsewhere.

  • Proper citation of all sources.

  • Disclosure of any conflicts of interest.

  • Ethical clearance if human subjects are involved.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
