This journal issue presents ten articles that collectively examine contemporary challenges in public administration, governance, education, environmental management, and public sector performance across Indonesia. The contributions address topics such as digital governance in responding to the misuse of Digital Population Identity (IKD) services in Makassar City, maritime decentralisation and blue governance within regional autonomy, health development planning policy implementation, civil servant competency development, school leadership strategies for accreditation improvement, public service quality and citizen satisfaction, as well as factors influencing employee performance, including work ethic, organisational climate, leadership, motivation, discipline, competence, workload, and work culture. Notably, the issue includes a study examining the mediating role of work culture in the relationship between competence, workload, and employee performance at the Environmental Service Office of Tanah Bumbu Regency. Collectively, these studies contribute to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions), by highlighting the importance of institutional capacity, human resource development, organisational culture, effective leadership, and evidence-based policy implementation in strengthening governance and improving public service performance.
