About the Journal

KIMAP: KAJIAN ILMIAH MAHASISWA ADMINISTRASI PUBLIK with registered number ISSN 2746-0460 (Online), is a peer-reviewed, open access journal published six times a year or once every two months, namely February, April, June, August, October, December by the State Administration Study Programme, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, University of Muhammadiyah Makassar. The journal aims to be an academic forum for researchers, academics, practitioners, and policy makers in exploring strategic issues and innovations in governance and public services. The main coverage of this journal includes public policy, public management, governance, decentralisation, public services, and sustainable development in the context of public administration.

Studies in this journal cover various important aspects, such as public policy formulation, implementation, and evaluation, bureaucratic reform, public sector human resource management, and the role of technology in the digital transformation of government (e-government). In addition, the journal also highlights issues of transparency, accountability, and public participation in governance, including collaboration between the government, private sector, and civil society. Aspects of decentralisation and regional autonomy are also a major concern, especially in regional financial management, regional governance innovation, and the relationship between central and regional governments in development.

In addition, this journal also discusses innovations in public services, both in terms of improving service quality, community satisfaction, and digitalisation of public services. This journal is also open to studies that discuss the relationship between public administration and the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), environmental governance, and disaster administration. Furthermore, contemporary issues in public administration, such as the impact of digital disruption, bureaucratic ethics, and relevant policy case studies are also part of the journal's scope.

The journal welcomes articles in the form of empirical research, conceptual reviews, case studies, and policy analyses that have both academic and practical contributions to the development of public administration. With a broad but focused scope, this journal is expected to become a scientific reference that contributes to the advancement of public administration science and the improvement of governance at various levels.

KIMAP: KAJIAN ILMIAH MAHASISWA ADMINISTRASI PUBLIK uses a new layout for full-text PDF articles from August 2020 (Volume 1). Since 2020, we have established a policy regarding free author publication fees. Since 2025, KIMAP: Kajian Ilmiah Mahasiswa Administrasi Publik has been accredited Dimensions and Garuda by ARJUNA Kemendikbud-Ristek Republic of Indonesia. Since April 2025, KIMAP: Kajian Ilmiah Mahasiswa Administrasi Publik has updated the article template. Since 2025, KIMAP: Kajian Ilmiah Mahasiswa Administrasi Publik Scienhas determined that citations and references in articles must comply with APA 7th edition.
