Article Retraction & Withdrawal
KIMAP: Kajian Ilmiah Administrasi Publik is committed to maintaining the integrity of the scholarly record. Retraction and withdrawal of articles are conducted in accordance with established ethical standards and best practices in academic publishing.
Article Retraction
A published article may be retracted if there is clear evidence of serious ethical violations or fundamental errors that invalidate the findings. Reasons for retraction may include, but are not limited to:
- Plagiarism or redundant publication
- Fabrication or falsification of data
- Major errors in methodology or analysis
- Unethical research practices
- Undisclosed conflicts of interest
Retraction may be initiated by the authors, editors, or based on credible third-party reports. In such cases, the journal will publish a formal retraction notice clearly stating the reason for retraction. The original article will remain accessible but will be clearly marked as “Retracted” to preserve the academic record.
Article Withdrawal
Withdrawal applies to manuscripts that are still under review or have been accepted but not yet published. Authors may request withdrawal for valid and justifiable reasons, such as:
- Significant errors discovered prior to publication
- Duplicate submission to another journal
- Ethical concerns identified during the review process
Withdrawal requests must be submitted in writing to the editorial office, stating clear reasons. The editorial board reserves the right to approve or reject such requests. Manuscripts found to violate ethical standards may be withdrawn by the editors without the authors’ consent.
Corrections and Clarifications
If minor errors are identified in a published article that do not invalidate the findings, the journal may issue a correction or erratum. This ensures transparency while maintaining the integrity of the scholarly record.
Policy Compliance
This policy is aligned with international publishing ethics standards and aims to ensure transparency, accountability, and trust in academic publishing.
