Editorial and Publishing Process
The editorial and publishing process of AgriMu Journal follows international best practices to ensure the integrity, transparency, and quality of scholarly communication. The process is fully managed through the Open Journal System (OJS) and consists of the following stages:
-
Manuscript Submission
-
Authors submit their manuscripts via the OJS online submission system.
-
Each manuscript must comply with the journal’s focus, scope, and author guidelines.
-
-
Initial Editorial Screening
-
The Editor-in-Chief, supported by the Editorial Board, conducts an initial screening to evaluate the manuscript’s relevance, originality, and compliance with the journal’s formatting requirements.
-
Manuscripts failing to meet the basic criteria (e.g., out of scope, low quality, plagiarism) may be rejected at this stage.
-
-
Plagiarism Check
-
All submitted manuscripts are checked using plagiarism detection software to ensure the originality of the work.
-
Manuscripts with high similarity scores may be returned to authors for revision or rejected outright.
-
-
Double-Blind Peer Review
-
Manuscripts passing the initial screening are sent to at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field.
-
The peer-review process is conducted under a double-blind system, ensuring anonymity of both authors and reviewers.
-
Reviewers are expected to provide constructive feedback within three (3) weeks.
-
If there are three reviewers, the editorial decision will be based on the recommendations of at least two reviewers.
-
-
Editorial Decision
-
Based on the reviewers’ reports, the Editor makes one of the following decisions:
-
Accept without revision
-
Minor revision (authors revise and resubmit)
-
Major revision (substantial changes required, followed by re-review)
-
Reject (unsuitable for publication in the journal)
-
-
-
Revision and Resubmission
-
Authors are required to respond to reviewers’ comments and revise their manuscripts accordingly.
-
The revised version is resubmitted through OJS and may undergo further review if necessary.
-
-
Copyediting and Proofreading
-
Accepted manuscripts undergo professional copyediting to ensure clarity, consistency, and adherence to the journal’s style.
-
Authors are given the opportunity to review proofs before final publication.
-
-
Publication
-
Finalized manuscripts are published online in both PDF and HTML formats under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0).
-
Articles are assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) to ensure permanent accessibility and citation.
-
-
Archiving and Indexing
-
All published content is permanently archived and made accessible through the OJS system.
-
The journal continuously works toward inclusion in national and international indexing databases to maximize research visibility.
