Peer Review Process

Kolaborasi: Jurnal Administrasi Publik (KJAP) implements a rigorous and systematic peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and academic contribution of every manuscript submitted. All manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening (desk review) to assess their conformity with the journal’s focus and scope, writing guidelines, and basic methodological standards. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria will be returned to the authors or rejected without further review.

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are subsequently evaluated through a double-blind peer review process, in which both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to ensure objectivity and fairness. Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field of public administration. Reviewers are selected based on their academic expertise, research background, and experience in scholarly publication.

The review process focuses on several key aspects, including the originality of the research, theoretical contribution, methodological rigor, clarity of analysis, relevance to contemporary issues in public administration, and the quality of writing. Reviewers are expected to provide constructive feedback and clear recommendations, which may include acceptance, minor revision, major revision, or rejection.

Based on the reviewers’ comments, the editorial board will make a decision regarding the manuscript. Authors are required to revise their manuscripts in accordance with the reviewers’ suggestions and resubmit within the specified timeframe. Revised manuscripts may be subject to further review to ensure that all concerns have been adequately addressed.

The editorial team maintains full responsibility for the final decision regarding publication, which is based on reviewers’ recommendations, the manuscript’s scholarly merit, and its alignment with the journal’s objectives. The entire review process is conducted with strict confidentiality, and all parties involved are expected to adhere to ethical standards and avoid conflicts of interest.

Through this peer review process, KJAP aims to uphold academic integrity, enhance the quality of published research, and contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field of public administration.
