Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the concept of mathematical learning in elementary school level based on the cognitive theory of Jean Piaget. The focus of this research is on how the concept of mathematical learning in the elementary school level is based on Jean Piaget's cognitive theory. The study used a culitative approach to the method of collecting library research data. The analysis of data conducted in this study in the form of data analysis with model Miles and Huberman, where there are three stages of data analysis. The result of this study is that the child in the elementary school level is a child who is in the range of age 7-12 years old and is in the concrete operational phase where the concrete operational stage of the child is already able to understand the logical operation of reversible and conservation.
