Author Guidelines

GENERAL INFORMATION

  1. Manuscripts must be original, have not been published previously in any scientific journal, not being submitted for publication elsewhere, and will not be submitted to any media during the review process unless the authors have officially withdrawn the manuscripts from Jurnal Kajian Pendidikan Dasar. The statement must be stated in a statement of originality and copyright release form (Form A). Jurnal Kajian Pendidikan Dasar uses Similarity Check powered by Turnitin to prevent any suspected plagiarism in the manuscripts.
  2. The type of the manuscript must be either the result of research (research article) or the result of review (review article)
  3. The journal is published 2 (two) times a year: January and July.
  4. The editorial board has the authority to accept, return the manuscript for revision, and/or reject the submitted manuscript.

THE GUIDELINES OF CONSTRUCTING ARTICLE

The article is a result of research or a conceptual study in elementary school education. Construct­ing an article can be done by using word pro­cessor “Microsoft Word,” by typing it in Times New Roman size 11, space 1,5, the article should be in the softcopy format of A4 paper size format. Margin: Top = 3 cm, bottom = 2.5 cm, left = 3.5 cm, right= 2.5 cm., formula and equation well-typed with Microsoft Equation, and the number of syllables in the article must not be more than 8000 words. The article can be sent an online submission.

The Systematic of Constructing Article Title

  1. The title is written in Indonesian.
  2. The title of the article is informative. Not too complex or too simple (8-15 words).
  3. It contains variables that can be re­searched and describes the whole content of the document.
  4. It does not contain mathematics formulas or non-standard abbreviations.
  5. The writer’s name (without academic title), completed by name and institution name, along with e-mail can.

Abstract and Keywords

  1. The abstract is typed briefly and densely about the most important ideas.
  2. The abstract contains the problems and or the research objectives, the research meth­odology, and the result of the research.
  3. It must be typed in English and indonesia
  4. Keywords contain the main and important words, 3-6 words

 

Introduction

The Introduction part is integrated explained in the form of paragraphs, consisting of:

  1. Background or Rational Research
  2. Literature Review
  3. Research Objectives

Methods

Methods used should be accompanied by references; relevant modification should be explained. The Procedure to collect the data and the data analysis technique should be explained in detail.

Results and Discussion

Result and discussion are elaborated in the length of 60%-70% of the article. The result is the main part of the scientific article. It contains of:

  1. The result of the data analysis.
  2. The hypotheses test (if any).
  3. It can be completed by applying tables or graphics in order to make it clear verbally. Meanwhile, discussion is the main part of the whole article’s contents.

The objectives of the discussion are:

  1. To answer the research problems.
  2. To interpret all findings.
  3. To integrate all findings from the research to the collection of available knowledge.
  4. To arrange the new theories or to modify the available theories.

Conclusion and Suggestion

  1. It contains of the conclusion and the sug­gestion.
  2. The conclusion contains the answer of the problem questions.
  3. All Suggestions are reflected to the result of the research and are practical steps; it also mentions to whom and for what the result is used.
  4. It is written in the form of an essay, not in nu­merical data.

Bibliography

  1. It must be written completely, based on the references.
  2. It only contains of the referenced sources in the content.
  3. The number of main references is at least 20 (80% are research articles in journals or proceedings).
  4. The article must be referenced to the article included in “Jurnal Kajian Pendidikan Dasar.”
  5. The typing of the bibliography must be ac­cordiing to American Psychological Association 7th (APA 7th) Style (use Mendeley management reference).

Submission Preparation Checklist

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
