Publishing Process

The publishing process of Invoice: Jurnal Ilmu Akuntansi follows international standards to ensure academic quality, transparency, and integrity. Each manuscript undergoes the following steps:

1. Submission

  • Authors must submit manuscripts through the Online Journal System (OJS) in accordance with the Author Guidelines.

  • Submissions that do not meet the journal’s formatting requirements will be returned to authors before entering the review process.

2. Initial Screening

  • The Editorial Team conducts an initial evaluation to ensure compliance with the journal’s scope, formatting rules, language quality, and ethical standards.

  • Manuscripts are screened for plagiarism using plagiarism detection software. Submissions with similarity above the journal’s acceptable threshold will be rejected.

3. Peer Review Process

  • Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to at least two independent reviewers using a double-blind peer review process.

  • Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on originality, methodology, clarity, ethical considerations, and contribution to the field of accounting.

  • Review results may lead to four possible editorial decisions: acceptance, minor revision, major revision, or rejection.

4. Revision Process

  • Authors are required to revise their manuscripts according to reviewers’ and editors’ comments within the specified time.

  • Revised manuscripts must be submitted through OJS for further evaluation.

  • The Editorial Team ensures that revisions have addressed the reviewers’ recommendations before proceeding.

5. Final Decision

  • The Editor-in-Chief, together with the Editorial Board, makes the final decision on acceptance or rejection based on reviewers’ recommendations and the quality of the revision.

  • Accepted manuscripts will proceed to the copyediting stage.

6. Copyediting and Proofreading

  • Accepted manuscripts undergo professional copyediting to ensure language clarity, formatting consistency, and compliance with the journal’s style.

  • Authors are asked to review the edited version (proofs) to confirm accuracy before publication.

7. Production and Publication

  • The final version of the manuscript is typeset and formatted for online publication.

  • Articles are published in March and September issues.

  • All articles are assigned a DOI and published under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0) to ensure open access and broad dissemination.

8. Post-Publication

  • The journal ensures that all published articles are indexed in recognized abstracting and indexing databases.

  • Any post-publication issues (erratum, correction, or retraction) are handled in accordance with COPE guidelines to maintain the integrity of the scholarly record.
