The publishing process in Ar-Ribh: Jurnal Ekonomi Islam follows international best practices and the ethical guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) to ensure transparency, fairness, and academic integrity. The process consists of the following stages:
1. Submission
Authors must submit manuscripts through the journal’s online submission system.
Manuscripts must follow the journal’s Author Guidelines and use the prescribed template. Submissions that do not meet these requirements will be returned to the author before further processing.
2. Initial Editorial Screening
The Editorial Team evaluates each submission for scope, originality, structure, and adherence to ethical standards (including plagiarism check).
Manuscripts that do not comply with the journal’s standards may be rejected at this stage.
3. Peer Review Process
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent for double-blind peer review to at least two independent reviewers.
Reviewers provide constructive feedback on the quality, originality, methodology, clarity, and relevance of the manuscript.
Based on reviewers’ recommendations, the editor decides whether the manuscript is:
Accepted without revision,
Accepted with minor or major revisions, or
Rejected.
4. Revision Stage
Authors are required to revise their manuscripts according to reviewers’ and editors’ comments.
The revised version must be resubmitted within the specified timeframe.
The Editorial Team may send the revised manuscript back to reviewers for re-evaluation if necessary.
5. Editorial Decision
The Editor-in-Chief, together with the Editorial Board, makes the final decision based on the reviewers’ feedback and the quality of the revised manuscript.
Decisions are communicated to the authors through the online submission system.
6. Copyediting and Proofreading
Accepted manuscripts undergo professional copyediting to ensure clarity, grammar, and formatting consistency.
Authors will receive proofs to check for accuracy and are responsible for reviewing them carefully before publication.
7. Publication
Finalized articles are published online in the assigned issue (April or October).
Articles are published under an open access license (CC BY-SA 4.0) to ensure global visibility and accessibility.
8. Post-Publication
The journal monitors published articles for ethical concerns and integrity.
Corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern will be issued if necessary, following COPE guidelines.
