Peer Review Process

All submissions to Ar-Ribh: Jurnal Ekonomi Islam are subject to a double-blind peer review process, in which both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to ensure fairness and objectivity. Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise and publication records in the field of Islamic economics and related disciplines.

Review Criteria

Reviewers assess the manuscript based on:

  • Originality and novelty of the study.

  • Relevance to the scope of Islamic economics.

  • Theoretical contribution and significance of findings.

  • Appropriateness of research methodology and rigor of data analysis.

  • Clarity, coherence, and quality of presentation.

  • Alignment with ethical and scholarly publishing standards.

Review Timeline

  • The average review process takes approximately 4 weeks.

  • If reviewers do not respond to a review request within 5 days, the system will automatically send reminders.

  • If reviewers fail to submit recommendations by the due date, reminders will be issued immediately.

Review Guidelines for Reviewers

Reviewers are expected to:

  1. Provide a critical yet constructive evaluation to improve the manuscript.

  2. Use respectful and professional language in their comments.

  3. Submit a clear recommendation, selecting one of the following outcomes:

    • Accept

    • Minor Revisions

    • Major Revisions

    • Reject

Editorial Oversight

  • The Editorial Board ensures transparency, confidentiality, and fairness at every stage of the review process.

  • Reviewer performance will be evaluated and rated on a five-point scale to maintain the quality of the peer review system.

  • Reviewers will only gain access to the submission file after formally agreeing to review it.

Blind Review Policy
