Captain Tom Moore has backed Lewis Hamilton to win a record-equaling seventh Formula One world championship when the series resumes following the coronavirus-enforced shutdown.
Moore, who became a national hero in raising more than £30million for the NHS by walking 100 laps of his garden just weeks before his 100th birthday, has been a longtime fan of motor racing.
The sport, like most others around the globe, is currently postponed with hopes of it restarting in Austria on July 3.

On Hamilton's chances, Moore told Sky Sports: 'Of course he can! Never let that be a doubt in your mind - of course he will.
'He hasn't finished yet, he's not an old man, he's still a young man.
'He can keep going for a long time, it just depends on whether the car can keep ahead as they are now. But there are other cars who are doing the best to catch up and pass Mercedes.'
Moore explained how his love of motorsport dates back more than 70 years to before the advent of Formula One.
'I started before Formula One. I started when it was the Grand Prix,' he said, while also explaining that he used to ride in vintage motorcycle events.
'And all these names of Formula One and Formula Two, that was new when I started watching car racing.
'With Formula 1, my first occasion would be at Silverstone, which is quite a few years ago before Silverstone was as big as it is now. It really is now a super course.'
