About the Journal
Jurnal Komunikasi dan Organisasi (J-KO), registered under ISSN2656-3010 (Print), ISSN2656-3487 (Online), is an open-access, international peer-reviewed journal published biannually in February and August by the Department of Communication Science, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar.
The journal aims to publish significant and up-to-date research from all areas of communication studies. It promotes scholarly, theoretical, practical, and contemporary research that makes clear conceptual and methodological contributions to the existing international literature. All articles published in J-KO undergo a rigorous double-blind peer-review process by international reviewers. The decision to accept or reject a manuscript is made by the Editorial Board based on the reviewers’ recommendations.
Authors are strongly advised to read and understand the author guidelines thoroughly. Manuscripts submitted to the editors of Jurnal Komunikasi dan Organisasi (J-KO) must adhere to these guidelines. Submissions that do not conform to the required formatting or deviate from the prescribed structure will be rejected by the editorial team prior to review. Only manuscripts that meet the formatting requirements will be considered for further evaluation.
Current Issue

Jurnal Komunikasi dan Organisasi (J-KO) Volume 7, Nomor 2, Agustus 2025 menghadirkan beragam kajian terkini seputar komunikasi digital, media sosial, serta dinamika organisasi. Edisi ini membahas mulai dari korelasi Instagram dalam penyebaran informasi, komunikasi jarak jauh orang tua–anak, hingga peran TikTok terhadap kesehatan mental mahasiswa generasi Z. Selain itu, turut disajikan analisis komunikasi publik pada isu sosial, serta pemanfaatan media sosial dalam penyebaran informasi di tingkat daerah.
Dengan pendekatan kritis dan penelitian mendalam, edisi ini layak menjadi rujukan bagi akademisi, praktisi komunikasi, maupun pembaca yang ingin memahami lebih jauh pengaruh komunikasi dan media di era digital.
