About the Journal

JFLIC Journal of Family Law and Islamic Court (ISSN: 2962-5963 (Print) and 2962-5327 (Online)) is an international peer-reviewed journal that publishes original research papers and scholarly reviews in the fields of Islamic family law, judicial practices, and contemporary socio-legal issues within religious courts. The journal is dedicated to promoting critical, interdisciplinary perspectives on family law, with a particular emphasis on contemporary jurisprudence, marital dynamics, inheritance, and waqf administration. By highlighting the lived realities, legal developments, and judicial interactions in these contexts, the journal seeks to enrich global academic discourses with voices, insights, and experiences in Islamic jurisprudence.

Published by the Prodi Hukum Keluarga (Ahwal Syakhshiyah), Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar, the journal welcomes contributions from scholars, researchers, and legal practitioners worldwide, especially those engaged in comparative or cross-regional studies. To ensure the highest standards of scholarship, every submitted manuscript undergoes a rigorous peer-review process, requires a similarity check via Turnitin, and must utilize citation management tools such as Mendeley or Zotero.
