PROFIL SIKAP MAHASISWA CALON GURU IPA SD TERHADAP SAINS

Pengembangan sikap positif terhadap sains pada calon guru IPA SD merupakan fondasi krusial bagi kualitas pendidikan sains di masa depan, mengingat peran guru dalam membentuk minat dan literasi ilmiah siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi profil sikap mahasiswa calon guru IPA SD terhadap sains. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan melibatkan 72
mahasiswa calon guru IPA SD (36 dari Sulawesi Barat dan 36 dari Sulawesi Selatan) yang telah memprogramkan mata kuliah Konsep Dasar IPA SD pada tahun akademik 2024/2025. Data dikumpulkan melalui Kuesioner Sikap Terhadap Sains (Attitude Towards Science Questionnaire) dan dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif (rata-rata, standar deviasi, dan persentase kategori). Hasil penelitian
menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa calon guru IPA SD di kedua wilayah secara keseluruhan memiliki profil sikap yang dominan positif terhadap sains, ditunjukkan oleh rata-rata skor yang identik (2.95) dan tidak ditemukannya sikap negatif atau sangat negatif. Sikap positif ini tercermin dalam dimensi afektif (kesenangan, kepercayaan diri, dan rendahnya kecemasan/kesulitan) serta dimensi kognitif (apresiasi tinggi terhadap nilai sains). Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa kurikulum dan metode pembelajaran saat ini efektif menumbuhkan sikap positif, namun perlu pengembangan strategi yang lebih inklusif untuk konsistensi partisipasi. Hasil penelitian ini menjadi dasar bagi program pengembangan profesional guru dan harapan bagi peningkatan minat sains siswa. Sebagai studi deskriptif, penelitian ini membuka jalan bagi studi lanjutan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor spesifik yang membentuk variasi sikap.
