Prevalensi Penyakit Karang di Kawasan Konservasi Laut Daerah di Sulawesi Selatan

Rahmi Rahmi

Abstract

Threats to coral reefs is usually caused by pollution from fertilizers, sewage, toxic manmade, sedimentation and exploitation. While the global threat is the rise in sea water temperature causing coral infected with the disease. Marine protected area (MPA) provides insight to the community and instill awareness to jointly safeguard the coastal ecosystem around it. Wildlife Tourism Bodies (TWP) Kapoposang island and island Sarappo Lompo as Regional Marine Conservation Area (KKLD) Pangkep need to be investigated so that the basic elements of protected areas as one way to reduce the prevalence of coral disease.

Keywords: Prevalence, Disease and marine conservation area.
