About the Journal
Journal of Science Education and Learning Innovation (JSELI) is a peer reviewed, open access scientific journal published by the Department of Science Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar, Indonesia. JSELI provides an academic platform for researchers, lecturers, teachers, practitioners, and students to disseminate original and innovative scholarly works in science education.
The journal publishes original research articles, research and development studies, systematic literature reviews, meta analyses, and bibliometric reviews that provide theoretical and practical contributions to improving the quality of science teaching and learning. Its scope covers science, physics, chemistry, and biology education; science teaching models, strategies, and innovations; the development of learning materials, media, modules, and educational technologies; science curriculum and instructional design; assessment, scientific literacy, critical thinking, and problem solving; science teacher education and professional development; STEM and STEAM education; as well as ethnoscience and local wisdom in science education.
JSELI only accepts manuscripts written in English. All submitted manuscripts undergo an editorial evaluation and a peer review process before publication. The journal is published twice a year, in April and October. Pure science research without a clear connection to education, teaching, or learning is outside the scope of the journal.
All published articles are freely accessible to readers in accordance with the journal’s open access policy.
