Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.

 

Author Guidelines

  1. Submission Requirements:
    • Manuscript formatting: Guidelines for font, font size, line spacing, margins, and overall layout.
    • Length limitations: Maximum and minimum word count for different types of articles.
    • File format: Preferred formats for manuscript submission (e.g., Microsoft Word, LaTeX).
    • Title page: Information to be included on the title page, such as author names, affiliations, and contact information.
    • Abstract: Guidelines for writing an abstract with specific word limits and content expectations.
  1. Manuscript Structure:
    • Introduction: How to introduce the topic, provide context, and state the research question or purpose.
    • Methodology: How to describe the research design, data collection, and analysis methods.
    • Results: How to present research findings, often including tables, figures, and statistical analyses.
    • Discussion: How to interpret results, relate them to existing literature, and discuss implications.
    • Conclusion: How to summarize the key points and findings of the study.
  1. Citation and Referencing:
    • Guidelines for in-text citations and references, including preferred citation styles (e.g., APA, MLA, Chicago).
    • Proper formatting of references for various types of sources (e.g., books, articles, websites).
  1. Ethical Considerations:
    • Guidelines for reporting ethical considerations, such as human or animal subjects' approval, conflicts of interest, and informed consent.
    • Plagiarism: Clear expectations regarding originality and proper citation to avoid plagiarism.
  1. Submission Process:
    • Instructions for online manuscript submission through the journal's submission system.
    • Any required forms, copyright transfer agreements, or supplementary materials.
  1. Peer Review Process:
    • Explanation of the journal's peer review process, including the steps involved and approximate timelines.
    • Details on how to respond to reviewer comments and revise the manuscript if necessary.
  1. Publication Rights and Open Access:
    • Information on whether the journal offers open-access options, and associated fees if applicable.
    • Explanation of publication rights, copyright policies, and licensing options.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
